To be efficient in your body, you must have good feedback between your brain and your body and vice versa. This is done with Proprioception Exercises.
Being aware of your body is not enough. You are only as aware of your body as you are connected to the proprioceptors in your body. The more you can turn these on with proprioception exercises, the more the neural map in your brain understands what is working and can be used. You need to have a deep sense of knowing and communication so that it comes out as confidence and the feeling of not having to hesitate.
Exercises for your brain and body for strength, awareness, and balance
You need more than just your muscles to have real strength and balance. It takes the fascial soft tissue around them and little computers in your body called proprioceptors to be turned on. This is based on Hills Muscle Model. The degree of how aware and connected you are depends on how many computers you have “turned on” in your body.
If, for instance, half your computers are connected, how can you be sure what you are feeling is the whole truth? How can you efficiently move, have balance, or be strong? Luckily, there are proprioception exercises for that.

Just like your muscles, these proprioceptors have to be exercised individually with specific proprioception exercises. If, for instance, I do general proprioception for my knee, but I need to “turn on” my ACL, then my body and brain will use all the other computers instead of the ACL because it is not functioning. This will further increase the gradient between the working computers and the nonworking computers.
