I am originally from Texas but have called Santa Fe, NM home since 2002. I have a degree in Culinary Arts, which afforded me opportunities as a pastry chef to live inArizona, Mexico, and eventually Santa Fe. Though baking is a true passion of mine, I just wasn’t feeling I was where I was meant to be. I also have a passion for helping others, which led me to earning a bachelor’s degree in Health Administration and enabled me to help others in the health insurance industry while working family-friendly hours after having my son. While I still enjoy my work in health insurance, there was still a missing piece.
My mom is a dietician, so by default, health and fitness has always been a part of my life. Growing up, I participated in swimming, running, dance, and tennis. In March 2015, I rediscovered my love of running and set a goal to finish my first full marathon within a year, which I achieved in February 2016 by finishing the Phoenix Marathon. Leading up to that goal, I finished my first 5K, 10K, and half marathon. Later that year, I had an opportunity to join SolCore Fitness and I love being involved with the fitness industry. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to interact with our members in my administrative role as well as train here, too. I also continue to run as much as possible and know that training at SolCore Fitness has made me a stronger, pain-free, and more confident runner.
