It’s not your fault you fell into this trap.
👉🏽 You played and did sports as a kid, and it felt great.
👉🏽 Then you had to start “to adult” and now have to sit down much more than you want, but you kept active mainly on the weekends.
👉🏽 Now you have aches and pains, so you seek help to “fix you” and then go right back to what you were doing. 👀
👉🏽 Now those aches and pains have turned into injuries, and you go get a cortisone shot, PRP, a package of physical therapy sessions, or some “minimally invasive” procedures to feel better. And usually, the first couple of times you do it you feel better. And then you go back to what you were doing. 👀
👉🏽 Now the pain is back, and you are “throwing the kitchen sink at it,” but all the above actions you tried are now not getting it done. If you are lucky, you are still functional, but that won’t last long. So you go the surgery route thinking this will fix you. 👀
👉🏽 You get out and feel good, BUT you notice that you can’t move the same and that the life that you were living before must be scaled back. And now it’s permanent and still getting worse. 👹
You’ve been hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amok, and flat-out deceived, never to learn how to be proactive with your body and your health.
You are caught in a reactive cycle, never learning that your body is a holistic, interconnected, interdependent, complex being and learning how to exercise like it is.
It’s not that any of the things listed above are bad. Everything has its place, but following this as a sustainable way to live is not sustainable and will not lead to you living your best life.
Ya feel me?
It’s not just working out, it’s building a foundation for a better life.
